It seems that there are many purposes for various canisters on the Internet Computer
- Ledger canister to keep track of ckBTC transactions
- Minter canister authorized create and/or destroy ckBTC.
- Bitcoin canister to interact with the bitcoin network (Each NNS principal ID should have 1 BTC address on the Bitcoin canister).
