I just wanted to tell you about an ingenious idea that I was discussing with a friend recently. He is the managing partner at a new company in a large city in the U.S.

Basically, what they do is rent out a multitude of various apartments all over the city (in different neighborhoods, different levels of niceness, etc.) and rent them out full-time almost as a 'hotel' through Airbnb.

They have a keyslot with a code that the guests are texted when they check-in. Then, after the day the check-out, a cleaning service comes and the manager re-sets the key box and handles any other issues that may come up. Renting out the apartments on a nightly basis as a hotel greatly outweighs the cost of the monthly lease they are paying.

Thoughts on this? I thought it was a spectacular idea myself.
