>buy monero with whole stack
>sell monero on different exchange
>pay taxes on the difference between USD in vs. USD out of KYC account
can someone explain why this plan wouldn't work? I'm fine paying taxes on what I need to, but I don't have records for my crypto to crypto trades, am I fucked?

This was me too, ended up selling them for like half of what the prefork ZCL would have sold for
First and final time i fell for the 'buy the rumor, sell the news' meme

>You mean jumping through hoops of securing your private key only for your hardware wallet to be hacked and leak all your personal information?

lel literally boomer-tier

>You mean setting up a KYC exchange account then waiting for days before you are allowed to buy anything?

You don't have to use a KYC service, but even if you do it's much easier than selling gold

>Ruiiight, the transaction costs only $50-$100 and only takes 4 to 6 hours. Super fast and easy.

I sent $3k to a sportsbook last week and it got there in 15 minutes and cost me $9

tl:dr, you're a boomer that can't into crypto

Because the biggest bubbles have many mini bubbles.

It's no guarantee that BTC will go back to its intrinsic value rather than just shed some of its speculative value.

This shit is why I'm still on this board.

Have a rare tax return in recompense.

Really though, the exchanges send your records, not just your sales. The IRS will know if you tried to hide money or if you didn't made/lost anything.

So I go to Etherdelta to deposit a coin from my wallet and trade it. I create the transaction with like 60 gas and the next thing I know maybe .000001 of my balance is in the ED wallet. Yet a full transaction has occurred and I'm out a few dollars for the fee.

Can anyone explain why this happened, like on a technical level? I'm aware that the network is congested and that ED is shit but I feel like some broke ass vending machine just took my money or something.
