you're still missing the point, it's not about whether it's a retarded financial move or not for the customer
this is a country so fucked with many people living paycheck to paycheck. A retard being able to finance a $500 console is pretty big.

honestly I hate Gamestop too but people are irrationally overlooking it (because of whatever their past history was with gamestop) instead of seeing the potential profits to flip on it with the current situation.
There's also the fact that Amazon doesn't even do same day delivery anymore for shit like vidya and other non-essential items. Amazon is not as dominant as people think they are, and there reallly are a lot of opportunities for niche e-commerce shit as Cohen already proved with how he built CHWY up (the impressive part about CHWY is how he built up large-scale fulfillment centers to be profitable against Amazon. The direction with their e-commerce business is just the flavor on top, and it's really the basics that made CHWY what it is now)
Gamestop does same-day delivery and pick-up, and that alone is making their ecommerce grow rapidly against Amazon and Bestbuy. Their new app is apparently good (in beta right now) and will come out before the double console release.
Like I'm in it for the squeeze like everyone else, but the fact that it's actually a decent speculation play for a turn around long-term is icing on top that ensures my downside potential is minimal. Also that it's fundamentally undervalued.

i keep thinking, it cannot be this fucking easy and obvious and i'm probably forgetting something vital.
