government giving trillions of $ in stimulus to retarded retail who pays $800 for Tesla and $400 for GME in 2021 is the stock market moral hazard equivalent of mortgage brokers in 2008 giving trillions of $ to unemployed niggers who pay $3,000,000 for a 10 square foot shitbox

what's going to happen? depends on which market you're looking at
all markets have two layers - savers and speculators, savers are strong hands who will hold through anything and speculators are weak hands who will sell at first sight of trouble

the speculating layer on Bitcoin is extremely large
>Bitcoin dropped 50% during 2018 flash crash
>Bitcoin dropped 52% during 2020 Covid crash
the speculating layer on stocks is also very large but a bit thinner than bitcoin
>stocks dropped 16% during 2018 flash crash
>bitcoin dropped 37% during 2020 Covid crash
the speculating layer on gold is extremely thin
>gold dropped 0% during 2018 flash crash
>gold dropped 15% during 2020 Covid crash

another important thing to keep in mind here is that gold is the only asset that started recovering past its pre-crash price before stimulus began, meaning that gold is the only asset capable of recovering without stimulus, i.e. a real safe haven
whereas Bitcoin and the stock market is likely to have not recovered at all, or at least for a very long time, without additional stimulus as their prices only recovered past pre-crash levels long after stimulus was handed out and speculation could return
>tl;dr Bitcoin and stocks = speculative shit that people only want as long as credit is cheap, gold = real savings and long term safety

my point here is that gold doesn't represent wealth - Gold is wealth inalterable

gold doesn't need to be tradable for necessities to be valuable, it is valuable by it's very nature, or rather - by OUR very nature
and because it is always valuable it will always be tradable for necessities

bitcoins are only valuable because they can be traded for dollars, dollars who's tradability for wealth (gold) and necessities is backed by the promise of violence unto those who refute it's tradability

once the dollar goes what will bitcoin be? what will uphold bitcoins tradability for wealth and necessities?

baste. The jumps between 0.7 and 0.5 and back are just noise to me. I have no idea how the 10Y can be so low with so much inflation risk (other than with a gun to the heads of banks and insurance companies or front channel YCC). I hate that we're watching brrr, consumer debt rates rising, tightening underwriting requirements, or insurance premiums increasing in real time. Never forget their crimes.

>Chinese already stack gold
how do they even afford it? I know they're going to apply downward pressure during chaos, but I don't see it happening to metal. They unironically face TINA.

>unironically deflationary shock, could actually fuck PMs over
agree, but I'm not sure where it goes. We have inflationary expectations from deflationary shocks.

you think it'll approach 1:15? I'd be stoked. I think the cap is 1:20, but we'll see. It's definitely better than the 1:70-ish ratio (spot+premium) right now.
