I'm attending community college before I transfer to a university, and if I take 3 more classes in the summer I can get an AAS along with my AS. My major is accounting. Does /biz/ think it's worth it? Will it look good on a resume or just stupid?

I'm in college and I've been helping my friend with a business he's trying to start, designing a couple of small textile products for him. He's at the stage where he wants to get the first order of his product sent to some company in China. The initial order is going to be around $1200, which he wants me to put in $300. I think the idea behind his company is fairly sound, but I have reservations because I think he's more confident than he is capable. His other partner is a college dropout who I also have a nagging feeling about.

Do I do it /biz/? $300 is about one paycheck from my part time job but I have enough saved up to where if this completely tanks it's not too much skin off my back. Part of me says to just do it because it's not a huge risk, if it completely tanks at least I'll learn something, and if we do manage to sell all the product I'll net $400-600. The other part says that this guy's not ready to run a business and has serious doubts about this even getting off the ground.

Help me decide, what're some other angles I can look at this from?
