It's the color scheme on the walls. All those consoles were from the 90s when N64 came out. That installation was probably put there in 1998 or 1999.

The beige and green color scheme I think was when McDonald's was trying to be more "adult". Basically McDonalds was always heavily geared towards children from the 70s/80s onward but by the mid 2000s they started losing customers to Starbucks type places. So they introduced a variety of coffee drinks and then repainted and redecorated the interiors.

Pic related is what the inside of McDonalds used to look like. All the seats would be red or yellow and there would be plastic statues of Ronald and other characters. At McDonalds with a play place they would even hire people to dress up as Ronald and greet children and multiple times a day every day there would be kids having organized birthday parties there. It felt like magic, like a mini Disney world and you were transported to this place with delicious food and fun characters and games and slides/etc. Only place more fun as a kid was Chuck E Cheese...but their pizza was nowhere near as good as burgers and fries from mcdonalds

That image has one remnant from when mcdonalds was a child's wonderland, an N64 that's probably over 10 years old...but all the rest has been stripped away, thus it seems unsettling and out of place
