hell i even knew an employer who trashed every cv with application letter. didnt have time to read them. picked randomly 10cvs with based on age on university he/she went thru.

jesus guys, you can wank your cv to the worlds end. nobody is going to even bother reading them. any decent job receives 100-2000 cvs just like yours. get a job by connections.

Don't do this on /biz/ because we end up discussing that it's an R&D trojan that pushed Microsoft towards Servers, their biggest growing division, The original Xbox was a loss leader and planned write down by MS, Xbox made more last quarter than Sony did as a company and other facts that run counter to the /v/ narrative that make the other fanboys cry and run back to /v/.

But to actually do something constructive with /biz/

The ideal MS strategy is just PS3 it. Games, Games, Games. Exclusives so people forget disparity and say "I want to play Sunset Overdrive but it's only on xbone so I will buy one" like Sony did with the end of the PS3 where you "had" to buy one to play The Last Of Us. Fun games, good games. System sellers along with unique ideas. It's profiting even with less sales. Keep up the pace.

Sony has company problems and a CEO who needs fired. That goes deeper than gaming and gaming is already huge trouble (The margin of profit they posted on PS4 launch is outright shockingly bad and had it not been for their PC sale, probably would have dominated it). Cut the fat. Dump underperforming studios (Why Evolution isn't gone is a mystery. Especially when they dumped Studio liverpool instead. And now the Wipeout staff work for Playground Games and Rare.)

Nintendo needs a clear direction and investment in the west. Iwata stepping down as NOA chief. Replace with a western CEO who knows tastes. Buy or invest in 3rd parties with new IP catered to west and give Nintendo IP to renowned developers with Cred (EG give Elite Beat Agents to Harmonix, F-Zero to Sumo Digital). And sort that image problem out soon.
