while you're thinking about that, don't forget to think about the reciprocal, the reverse situation. Do you have siblings/parents/close family or friends who might need to rely on you sometime? I don't mean some acquaintance who never saves any money that will come running to you for a handout, I mean people who make a genuine strong attempt to prepare but might not have the resources.

One of the important things about money, and it doesn't get talked about enough on /biz/, is making sure that you can be there for other people. Not being the neighborhood piggy bank, but having the success and peace of mind that everyone in your little "tribe" can depend on one another, reciprocally.
