I buy them because they are by far the cheapest way of accumulating gold in my country (Austria), the premium often times is lower on the Kronen 100 coin than 250g gold bars. I never bought one for more than 1%, usually they are 0.3%-0.6%.
However I buy "used" coins, not freshly made restrikes by the mint as the link above is offering.
Purity is 900/1000, 30,5g fine gold + 10% copper to harden the coin. Its not my favorite coin by the looks, but comparing to people that pay 2-4% premium to get a Krugerrand 1oz, it surely is a winner.
