Are you willing to do what it takes?

- Use a good picture on LinkedIn and resume
- Already add the company to the follow list
- Have your LinkedIn profile open so people can check it
- Create at least a Facebook profile and add a picture of you with other people
- Drop your resume on BIZ for review or better ask someone with the job you want for a review
- if there is a possibility to call someone from the job you want directly then do this and ask a few questions and seem eager.
- Practise interview with friends and family. Bullshit questions like what was a situation you learned from etc.
- Go to a clother store with a focus on business clothet, tell them you need a clothing set for a job interview, don't ever go for a red tie.

Etc. If your ugly or not perceived als social you have to compensate on all the other parts (knowledge, preparedness etc).
