What if this whole HODL GME thing is a scam by firms like Blackrock colluding with Citadel. They are selling from ranges over $320 and extracting value while keeping the price steady. It seems they have agreed to hold the price around $300 by limiting investing from retail customers and in return those companies won't go belly up. But they have to get out from under it this short, and they would rather give their money to their buddies than to us. So they are fucking us with collusion.
If the market were free from manipulation, this stock would have mooned today again. After the publicity and the insanity of the last few days plus options expiring with a massive gamma squeeze, it should have absolutely gone to $500+. But it didn't. Why? Because they are colluding and they will keep the price steady over the next few weeks while we all chant HODL.
I have nothing to base this on, this is pure speculation. It makes sense to me though looking at the situation from their POV. The banks want to do whatever they can to prevent a collapse, but they are still going to fuck each other as much as possible.
Institutions are only required to release their holding changes quarterly, and I will bet my shares that those corps are reducing their positions by the millions.
Blackrock alone owned 8 million shares on the most recent quarterly report. If we are all holding, who is selling the 3-7 million+ shares daily? Blackrock, Fidelity, and all of the other institutions are most likely selling massively at high prices to drive the price back down and then buying small amounts back during the dips.
There is so much noise that it is hard to tell who is jewing who on this one.
