I get that idea and I do the same thing but a stock like GME is not a stock you sell weekly covered calls on.
I am doing what you’re doing on RL (Ralph Lauren) which is smarter because that stock doesn’t move nearly as much.
>bought 100 shares for 99
>sell Aug 19 100 C for 1.24
>sell Sep 16 85 P for 1.90
