I think it is great because it upgrades Ethereum Classic to have the same upgrades and ETH and also will have cross-chain interoperability between ETC-ETH. This means simply, that dapps can move back and forth between ETC and ETH. Also, they can use the cheaper ETC network for fees for their ETH dapps
