So speedway if you do not know is a gas station chain that I work at. They have been struggling with employees failing police sting operations and about a year ago removed the "30 and over" button a year ago. However we (until today) had a button for punching in the customer's date of birth if they presented a military id or passport. This is extremely important to have because speedway corporate will not ever implement a system to scan them. So today it happened they removed the ability to punch in date of birth. So effective immediately if you do not have a US drivers license it is not possible to purchase alcohol or tobacco at speedway. This effectively has banned the sale of tobacco and alcohol to some of our biggest customers Mexican migrant workers who do not have US drivers licenses. Idk if you want to have some fun I guess just just roll up to your local speedway and try to purchase alcohol or tobacco with a passport or military id.
