It seems like the majority of the board isn't about stonks, other assets, or economics broadly but specifically about the six gorillion shitcoins that come out every day. Every time I come on here I see mentioned a few new shitcoins I never heard of talked about like they're a real thing that I'm supposed to both know and care about.

What gives? Why isn't /biz/ at all interested in real assets?

Is it because "crypto" investing is more truly abstract, allowing for more technical trading strategies? As opposed to stocks where the price of them has a lot to do with how the company is performing, which requires one to look into the real world in a way that looking up statistics about a shitcoin just does not
