Silver used to be used in pennies historically. Now it's returning to its true value by becoming a penny commodity by end of 2021.

Gold also has a long way to fall, but it's cushioned by having some uses in jewelry among the gaudy classes in the second and third world. These people will modernize and recognize it as cringe within a generation, just like they did here.
