Thanks go-senpai
I was actually trying to get in that big brain game looking at apps on my phone to start out. Need big brain activities besides /pmg/ to pass the time. Any recommendations?
Also considering picking up a bunch of .720 100 pesos coins and getting a small treasure chest to fill it up. It would be cheaper than filling it with libertads and I don't want mine tarnishing too much more. The 100 pesos will be in circulated condition with proper wear and toning, but at the same time having second thoughts on buying sub .800 junk.

Your opportunity cost is going to be the tax hit. There are other ways such as a pm ira you can rollover to which will get you the exposure to the metals except it will be bonded until you retire or withdraw early and get taxed.
Unless you see shtf happening I'd either go into the miners for bigtime leverage to metal prices or go the pm physical ira route.

Counted up all of my libertads I got in today, all are there
1982: 116
1983: 1
1984: 123
1985: 20
1995: 62
1982 is the first year issue of the silver libertads. I also noticed that the 1995 coins had reeded edges like the modern ones instead of the inscribed sides of the original. After looking online, it looks like they made this change in 1992.
