How is a phone interview usually done? I applied to a bunch of places and got a call from one and they just called me out of the blue and eventually started asking me some questions but of course i wasn't that prepared so I performed pretty poorly in my opinion.

I always thought they would at least email or call me beforehand to schedule the actual interview. Am I expected to read and learn a shitton of things about every business i send a resume to when 90% never answer back?

I've worked 7 years in a somewhat small tourism info center. I left by myself and my boss liked me and offered herself as a reference/to make a letter and even grab a coffee some time if we want to talk (she has a lot of experience in HR from past jobs).

That was almost two years ago. Is it too late to call her for a reference letter? I feel so retarded to do this now but it's my only job as of now so I can't not have any references or else interviewers will think I got fired.

what are some nice jobs in finance? Coming out of a masters in finance and literally have no idea what I want to do.
