I genuinely love being in Oxford. The pubs there are so fucking comfy compared to the sterile Greene King shite pubs all over London. Strolling around Oxford in the Spring Time is lovely, and it’s close enough to smaller villages around it. That being said Oxford is still way fucking overpriced. I’m an American but my wife is from Oxford so we spend like 2-3 weeks there every year. My wife owns a microscopic shit flat in the less desirable area, Cowley road and it’s now worth nearly $300k. I’m a doc in the US so won’t ever move to the UK since doctor wages there are a pittance compared to US wages, but I want to retire whenever Link takes off and spend a couple months a year in Oxford at least, with the rest of my time in Osaka, Japan and somewhere in the New England area In the US (Providence or Boston)
