>I'm a contributor on a new book and a white paper that should be out in the next decade or so, as well as on the main website for that kind of junk. Not for my pics, just research.
Very nice, it's good to put your indelible mark on the hobby. I assume at least some of your own unique pieces are being photographed and included in the book and research paper? If so then you'll still get to watch your coveted Plate Tokens from the afterlife lol.

>I found a lot of stuff out of mexico, but nothing nearly as cool as yours

Yeah, lots of early/mid 20th century Central and South American coin bowls and ashtrays but I haven't seen any better than his. I have seen some fake modern Chinese-made bowls with fake coins set in the bottoms, they mimic the genuine "Export Silver" pieces made into the 30s and the later Sterling articles from Hong Kong made into the 60s, but they're not too convincing yet. Frogbro's Guatemalan gold and silver coin bracelet is also the best such piece I've ever seen, really remarkable scores.

Imagine just 1 day as IQDELET, being too retarded to differentiate between antique articles for the tourist trade made using genuine coins and modern Chinese trash.

With such pathetic ignorance on display every day it's no wonder he seethes so fucking hard, he clearly bankrupted himself and has been projecting and coping ever since.

Hey Frogbro I went through the past few threads and saw the fresh pictures and discussion regarding your bracelet, it's a magnificent score. Based Bob gave you very good info and suggestions, though I think a chemical approach to removing the silver/solder may be possible. For refining gold it is typically melted with silver and diluted to ~25% gold so the nitric acid can dissolve the copper and silver, it isn't really effective at dissolving base metals from more pure gold so I think gold of .875/1000 purity should be resistant to chemicals that the silver and solder will be dissolved by. You will need to consult with a talented jeweler/goldsmith or experienced PM refiner for ideas if you decide to separate the coins. Some silver solders have a high melting point but others have a relatively low melting point, a jeweler may be able to identify just from appearance what type was used and advise accordingly. It's an awesome score fren, no need to try separating the coins before you get some guidance from Guatemalan specialist collectors, it is a very superior bracelet and may well be worth a hefty premium to the right person as-is.

>a big ladle from 1783-1787 weighting 10oz

Damn that sounds amazing, 10oz is absolutely enormous! Looking forward to pics fren, I did a quick search on the English side of the internet and found that "QNLE" is an abbreviation for "quenouille" but I don't know if that might be relevant or mean anything to you.

>I can use them to cast sterling silver versions for myself

That sounds really cool anon, can you give an outline of your process and/or share a pic of what you've made? Do you make silicone molds of the pieces you want to copy and do lost-wax casting, or do you do sand-casting?

>Went to 3, last one had the spoons
Post pics fren, what kind of spoons did you get? I've bought cheapies from England before on eBay priced low enough that after shipping to burgerland they were still good deals, but I've noticed that generally competition in the UK for sterling silverware is extreme, with more watchers and higher sales prices per gram than for the equivalent stuff being sold in the USA. I think that the VAT situation there makes silverware hoarding even more appealing to bongs than it is here. A nice thing I've noticed is that Georgian silverware often doesn't have much of a premium so you can get 200+ year old silver pretty easily at around melt value, it's often completely "plain" and of heavy-duty construction, I appreciate the honest simplicity of the stuff.

>Anything else is 100% bitch tier.

Anon crying about mass-produced midcentury weighted garbage getting melted is retarded but this is a pretty low-IQ take as well.
