I think it'll be a thing, I just dunno how much money there will be in it.
Of course, a company just patented fish oil and people are saying they're going to be worth $10B or more so who knows lol.

With shrooms, there are a bunch of people out there growing right now, and all kinds of resources online. There will be a medicinal/recreational market that companies can make some money from, but the distributed production will still be there.. a lot of people who noc fungus do it for fun, because they love it. If companies are trying to charge way too much for grams of shrooms the DIY side will take over, the barrier to entry is nonexistent besides the law.
Just like the kids making their own nic salt pods now that Juul can't push mango anymore. People find a way, and it might not be in a way that stock market investors can make money from.
In the little places of the market like this, you can make money by starting your own company, or just not try and force yourself into it.
