m-maybe ai alignement is possible. but we really need a serious global effort toward this. ironically, we haven't even solved human alignment, and somehow ml researchers expect former to come for free?
there are countless example of social movements deeply respectful of "lower intelligences" (such as veganism), so its possible asi can also be empathic toward humans, which would leave us in an utopian society where benevolent superintelligences do care about us (to a certain limit of how much they can survive at their own level).
