Now that I think about it, I think the only silver I've actually sold was silver gifted to me, so a $0 cost basis. Had I sold silver I actually purchased myself, it would have certainly been at a loss. Also, I'd argue the it's more daft to hold has been, former money metal turned industrial metal in hopes of the silver prophecy coming to fruition and seeing it become remonitized. lmao

Honestly, I got all those things during covid and the collapse never happened (nothing ever happens) so they mostly go unused, mostly. It's nice to shoot for fun on the weekends, but I do feel a little silly sitting on a full gear-queer combat loadout, especially when the thousands of dollars spent on all of it could have been invested for some serious gains. Hindsight is 20/20 so they say.
