Someone please help me.

I'm a 21 year old neuroscience major who knows not a single fucking thing about finance or trading or meme currency or taxes.

Last year when ethereum was less than a dollar I got on /biz/ and someone was like "why are you not buying ethereum literally free money etc etc" and I was high off my balls on adderall so I said fuck I'd rather bet my sad <$300 in savings on 4chan memes than have it sit in my bank account doing nothing.

Anyway I forgot about it until recently because I wanted to get the new Zelda game and was strapped for cash. I discovered that my 300 ethereums is now worth like $15k.

What did the split mean? Does that affect me at all?

Should I hold it and hope price goes higher or is 50 bucks an ethereum as good as it gets?

Do I have to pay taxes on this when I sell them for cash? How does any of that even work?

Can you even sell 15 grand worth of this shit at a time?

Pls respond
