Explaining to you in a few words.
Tomorrow most puts will expire, puts are basically shorts with no obligation to sell.Some of this will be sold,
the big shorts will always be active as long as the value of the stock stays above the bet (most of them are below 20$ some even less) , the stocks are limited and gamestop won't issue stocks for the next months, this means that as long as buy values are higher than sell values, the stock will start to exponentially increase.
The hedge funds are on their last legs, getting loans from wherever they can to buy stocks and then sell to disturb the market, ALL THIS HEDGE FUNDS WILL GO BANKRUPT if they cannot win this short.
There is no ceiling, the only obstacle now are brokers stopping you from buying or and people starting to see 100000s on their account and selling it.

Government is worried because what we are seeing is hedge funds getting sucked out off all their money, but the money is flowing directly to the people, the economic impact will be positive and actually the stock market is gaining hundreds of thousands of traders everyday.

Pump and dump is illegal however WSB will start converging on their interests, we will no longer see diversified portfolios, it will only take that deepfuckingvalue guy to say he will invest in a particular stock for people to follow him.
The Elon Musk tweet helped but still, open your eyes and buy whatever that autist or other major Dude in WSB does.

If you are buying AMC you are stupid.
If you are expecting AMC to reach +50$ you are stupid.

But even then, when GME falls people will switch over to a different stock, not AMC
