*Hai hai!~* Just passing by~

Since it hasn't been mentioned here yet, this was from Sergey Vasin (BMC's investment director) via the slack:
>Terms of sale update. We have updated the terms of sale to explicitly state that USD 30 million is the hard cap. Any funds on top of that will be transmitted back at the cost of the contributor.
>However, the company can choose a lower hard cap if deems it reasonable.

Ah, you might have missed their summary halo-san:

>The Incubator expects to hold on average 25% (as a match of equity investment) of the tokens of each incubated portfolio company at the time of each portfolio company’s ICO. Of this 25%, it is expected that 70% of the portfolio tokens will flow to SCI Tokenholders, in proportion to their SCI Token holdings. The remaining 30% of portfolio tokens will be sold (in a staggered fashion, or as otherwise deemed appropriate by the Incubator) as needed to refresh the Incubator’s funds.
So you're automatically getting the ICO'ing company's tokens just by holding SCI! You can buy more though if you want.

Also, buy backs! They're going to buy back SCI from the open market and burning those tokens, likely pushing up the price of the remaining tokens.

Please keep in mind that I *try* to be conservative about my estimates (I'd rather they overperform expectations than underperform) and that my conception of what "long term" means is REALLY long. Months long. I'm still holding immediate post-ICO OMG, for example.

Blackmoon will clearly take awhile. Obsidian might do well sooner depending on how much people buy, how the messenger performs, and what new services are built. It's still undervalued in some respects, so it might do well sooner rather than later.

As for flips...
Monetha just happened. It'll go
Kyber is certainly on the list, as is ChainLink with the increasing FOMO (though I certainly intend to long term hold):
Red Pulse most likely because they had to close off to Chinese buyers, but I'm still iffy on Chinese ICOs right now pending further regulatory clarification.
And Cindicator might be a good flip, but I fear I missed out on that one. They have tiered white list spots! That's pretty competitive!

>>3285349
For the referral, you only get 1% of what others put in. Which I think is rather realistic and believable, especially when compared to what you see around in crypto.

And I'm just leaving it as a choice! It's up to you, anon-san.

>>3285356
>>3285357
It takes awhile with ETH right now. The network is still reeling from the Monetha ICO this morning. I sent an additional 3 hours ago and it only got in within the past half hour.

Well, there's clearly Bitcoin's! >>3156268
But on a more serious note, it's a mixed bag. White papers tend to vary between a detailed technical explanation and what is essentially a pitch deck for investors. So you have to make due with what you get.

One of the best ones I've seen is OMG's:
No kidding anon-kun, one of the reasons I bought in early was because I read this bit in there:
>The above mechanisms require significant volume of activity (with a large amount of state), and is not at this time suitable for all activity to occur on the Ethereum main chain, however the construction would be to bond trading activity in the public Ethereum chain with contract execution input being provided by the OMG chain.
>We are building a blockchain which hooks into other blockchains to allow for trading across token/asset classes, largely backed by Ether. From the perspective of any individual chain, we are building a scalable blockchain whose contract state is bonded by the activities of the OMG chain itself.
That was a pretty big hint at what they would be doing. And to everyone's surprise (including myself), we got the Plasma.io announcement.

Also, yes, I look at the devs. I generally want at least one guy who has done blockchain-related work or competent enough to handle it. As important is personality and character; give me an honest dev over one who makes excuses.

>>3156468
It's on my list, though I won't enter into the pre-sale lottery and I still need to read through the material making a decision.

Just an obligatory reminder, since people are mentioning me: while I am in on this and a committed backer, I (and I've said this repeatedly) view this as a long-term investment with potential (as >>3148623 points out). I'm willing to wait months to realize these gains, which many anons on /biz/ might not be willing to do.

Do *not* expect sudden flipping opportunities a la 0x (barring very exciting news that I am not aware of at this time).

If you want to do something more short term that will certainly deliver short term returns, there are some veeeery interesting ICOs coming in September. I can't wait to explain them soon!

>>3148677
Obsidian will NOT be an ERC20 token, anon-san. This will not be listed on Etherdelta.

Hai hai!~

To anyone hold or trading MBRS, we've got important news from the main dev!

First, concerning why MBRS is showing up as EMB on Etherdelta:

>The issues with EtherDelta all starts with the update the system underwent at the worst possible time.

>The update automated some backend items that are hopefully going to address some of the issues it has been having and also is playing with the MetaMask interface to make it easier.

>Because the two systems communicate on the basis of the token contracts, instead of explicitly programming the names, it of course, wants to just pull it from the contract.

>The token contract has Embers set as a symbol EMB. I cannot change it. But by the time we learned of Embercoin, it was too late and the only way to fix it would be to re-release the token under the new symbol. But that is a cumbersome job to do early, and the token is temporary until MVP any way.

>Ultimately, the ticket is set by each exchange anyhow, even BTC has ticker symbols that are not the same. The reason all this is exacerbated is because we are only on one exchange. I want to be on every exchange they are so they are forced to change it to MBRS, the ability that the update to EtherDelta accidentally removed from the Devs hands. So he is working to correct that.

tl;dr - It's being worked on. Though it seems its safe to buy and sell MBRS (temporarily EMB) for the time being.

Well, it's a new blockchain platform, so I'm shooting for between $1-2. I'll sell a bit at that point, then hold the rest long term.

And since Embermines is part social network (with comments, upvoting, recommendations, and everything, and it won't be data-mined by companies but instead try to provide positive feedback), *that* plays a role too. The platform has a unit of value called "Heat", which measures the amount of activity surrounding a Project or person on MBRS. The higher one person's "Heat", then the more visible in relation to other related entities when you search for them. Fans could donate their "Heat" towards a band to produce a spike in that band's "Heat Index", giving them higher visibility and the chance of more sales. That way, fans have a chance of helping the band succeed.

Anyways, that's just *one* example of how MBRS could work. It could also be used on projects worked on by 3rd party software developers, artists, IoT service contracts, writers, agents/publicists/managers, charity managers, and more! PLUS, if you think about it (and this is just conceptual), the technology could be conceivably used to create consumable asset tokens used to disburse certain investment dividends to the blockchain! Well... we'll see I guess!~

The development team, though mostly young, is very active and friendly. You can find them on Telegram (not Slack, but this may be a good thing as the Telegram channel is filled with better quality conversation than the ones I usually see on Slack channels). Their CEO, James Drake, is a really nice and professional guy who's essentially married to the project and working on it non-stop. Once, someone was causing a lot of FUD on the Telegram. Do you know what Drake did? He bought the guy out at above market price and asked that he never return. That's actually kinda amazing!

So why are people interested in this? For multiple reasons!

I'm actually interested in WeTrust's long-term potential OP-kun! If they can pull off a ROSCAs platform, then it should see some impact in economic development in several areas.

However, I still need to do some more research and determine the best time to buy in. Plus raise the necessary funds, of course!

I am *quite* happy that so far everything is going well, anons!~

Though I am surprised that people are willing to sell for so low. It started at $0.04 and people are willing to sell for $0.06 to $0.08? Really anon-sans? I'm holding this *at least* until I see a 5x return. And even then, I'm only selling a bit to cover expenditure. The rest I'll be holding for awhile.

ERC20 Ethereum tokens are saved to the address. Even if you can't see it on, say, Metamask. It's still there.
