So now the S&P has breached 5000. During the 2020 epic crash it fell to a puny 2300-2400. So if you rolled in during the "gift" event you'd be sitting on over double your investment. By just doing nothing at all except let it work.(Those who rolled into Oil stocks when you know the cost of oil was shockingly negative made out even better). What is the lesson to be learned here?. Simple; when epic dumps happen you roll in a mega load of green and let it work.

Kek in 2002 I was 19. Imagine if I was a bit smarter then and knew WTF a stock or mutual fund or SWPPX was or cared enough to drop in some green and let that shat roll on. But alas I wasn't. I didn't start doing any investing till my 401k in 2005. However I was smart enough to learn from history; 2020 crash I hiked my 401k contributions. 2022 crash I hiked again. Over 3x total increase from 2019 amount. Hmm looking at this wee chart it seems I did good..
