Do any of you know if there are any books that uses economic theory, like microeconomics etc. to analyze real markets, like for instance a book that analyses the healthcare sector or the retail sector and examines various phenomena in the sector, the typical operations of the businesses and so on? You know what I mean?

Is there anything more to actually learn about capital structure once you understand "tax shields"?

It seems like a mix between law and finance. From my experience, everyone successful (from business school) has done one of two things: Either go for a 100 % biz degree (meaning finance or econ) or go to an ivy-league school and study some ridiculous nonsense.major like marketing or management and to go work for McKinsey. You never hear about brilliant successful business leaders who majored in accounting, you just don't.

How do you leverage the situation of having to go to an okay-tier-school?

Since I have had a hard time finding a job with my business degree, I've been working part-time as a math teacher. It turns out I'm pretty good at it. The kids love me and the principal has asked me to be a full-time teacher (even though he knows I'm not trained to be a teacher).
Teachers are paid poorly in my country, so my question is: How can I turn this skill I apparently have into something profitable?

Help, me out, /biz/, what the fuck am I studying? They say it's a great business school but the syllabus looks weird as hell.
