I need advice my WFH brothers in the tech industry. My company is having a week long team building event next week and I simply cannot go. I somehow left it to the last possible day to deal with this because I am so burned out that I can't plan more than a day or two ahead. I really don't want to go because I can't stand talking to my coworkers and also I'm worried that the company will find out I didn't take the vaxx and fire me since they have a mandate that I've just been ignoring. I am desperate at this point friends. I shouldn't really give a shit about losing this job because I hate it and I have enough money saved up to just neet for a few years before killing myself, but if I get fired I'll have to tell my parents and having to talk to them is absolute torture because they hate me for not being a CEO or something. Should I just tell my boss that I can't go because I'm scared of the coof? He already knows I don't really care about it, but he might just overlook that because he knows the company needs me. I guess I could fake a covid test, but I don't even know where to get a test. I am seriously considering just ending it, I hate that my life has been reduced to begging a company not to fire me from a job I hate because they want me to go drink with a bunch of boring middle aged men who have nothing to talk about

If you short at say, 350, you still have to cover that share, but now you made the difference of potential profit between there and when you need to supply. So, they're taking the bet that the hodlers will cave before they are unable to keep shorting.
