If we could predict the future, we'd be rich.
Personally, I'm thinking there will be a pullback in a few months. Take a look at what happened last year with the war in Ukraine. Gold was over $1900 for about two months, then takes a month to slide down to $1800.
Of course, now we still have that war, the banking crisis, de-dollarization, inflation, unemployment and a CBDC breathing down our necks, so perhaps in 6 months, $2k will be thought of as "cheapies"

>My brother inherited $5,000+ "worth" of stamps and now he can't even give them away,
I was afraid of this when I was looking for a long-term store of wealth. I love guns, but they don't hold value and there's always the threat of them being outlawed.
Finally settle on stacking. Start stacking this month. All hell breaks loose!

There are many circumstances where cash is handy. We've had some electrical outages in recent years that lasted days. Guess what, no ATMs, no credit card readers.
It also comes in handy when I hire someone to do some work for me. Everybody loves cash. Not uncommon to get a discount if there's no paperwork involved.
