I never had issues with requesting refunds for stuff I ordered online, and then saying part of my order was missing. Like if you're ordering multiple products and they're coming in the same package you can get a partial refund by claiming some of the shipment is missing. Because of delivery confirmation you don't want to say the whole order is missing, but these retailers don't know what the fuck is actually in the boxes they ship out and they're relying on packers not making mistakes. Also, if you're ordering multiples of something, and you want extra for free, for example you can order two and claim you only received one and they'll send you an extra.

High dollar items could attract scrutiny so I wouldn't risk it. Also people that are running a small business themselves such as an Ebay resellers probably packaged and shipped everything themselves and will likely remember what they packaged and will probably your refund request so they're not worth it to do it to. I also don't like the idea of screwing over some guy, But screwing over big retailers is perfectly fine to me. I'm the kind of customer companies don't make a profit on, because my refunds are eating well into their profit margins.

Also, don't do it frequently with the same account. Many companies will flag certain accounts that make over a few refunds. It's possible that some companies may flag by address rather than account but maybe they do if someone is a huge problem for a company with their refunds. I would be careful about doing chargebacks, because some companies will blacklist people that do chargebacks even if they're legitimate. Not all will, though.

this. No joke about it. Have lots of money but financially illiterate. "I should get a financial advisor". Advisor DCAs just you in to an S&P ETF and puts a chunk in bonds. You pay him to do this for you.
