I'm not a zoomer who knows nothing but I don't know a lot about central banking. I have read about economics from the reasonable Austrian point of view, where supply and demand rule, and it's convincing.

But I'm fairly sure that the Austrian view doesn't work as a moral framework or foundation for policy because the real life economy is being manipulated by central banks.

From what I intuit (and correct me if I'm wrong here), all modern economies rely on perpetual growth and inflation or else the resulting failures on debt would quickly domino and make everything collapse. This is a major reason why the Austrian logic doesn't apply to our system.

From what I intuit, in the UK, the economy relies on a continuous increase in the price of housing because... why? Would the negative equity and failed mortgages caused by decreasing house prices cause all the banks to fail?

And the idea of bank savings by normal people not being useful to the economy is... true? Despite the Austrian logic sounding reasonable, deposits don't really help the economy grow because banks have lots of money to lend anyway?

It just seems like many moral viewpoints break down in our system.

Is there any way I can set up an account and start trading by tomorrow? I tried Robinhood but they said it’s going to take a few days to approve, anywhere else where I can start right away?
