It makes a significant difference in the compounding.

I do advocate some allocation to a call-writing strategy, but I prefer KNG to QYLD (or a combination of QYLD and normal index funds)

if you could get 13.2% gains yearly without the tax burden like that, everyone would do it.
the fact is, the current tax structure means that it is WAY better to invest in index funds that grow the stock value (and you only have to pay long term cappy gains tax when you sell, vs having to pay short term cappy gains every year, but digging into your compounding at that time scale)
