I'm assuming it's mostly supply issues and atm fear over rising silver prices that are pushing copper up. The two largest areas of demand for copper are consumer electronics and construction both of which should be down right now, with consumer electronics being significantly impacted.

Now that I think about it I did buy a copper round to about 5 years ago. It had a maple leaf on one side and something else on the other. Think I paid $15cdn for it including shipping. I lost it after a couple months of carrying it everyday.
