don't become bitter or cynical OP. That's the key. Don't isolate yourself. The more they come at you, then you try all the more to come closer to them. Ask them about their motivations, about their lives, about why they do things, what they think the purpose of things are. They are no different from you, all their deepest desires and worries are the same. They try to hide it or ignore it, but if you make the jump and talk to them where you just assume they are the same, you will break through to them. Don't wallow in sorrow, but pick yourself up and keep going, you won't find any happiness in being successful
