yeah, I think i asked the wrong question. fluctuations really shouldn't do too much for companies broadly unless they export. it's seems weird that DXY is in a trough or trending downward. I thought we were expanding a lot less and deflating (nearly all but assets) a bit more than average?

personal finance is great, but it won't do anything about the credit underwriting that got a lot of people into a mess or the proper attitude needed for risk management tools (like insurance) to prevent unfortunate messes they can't handle. They'll opt to skimp on an auto comp deductible to save $100 a year to run shitty balances in their rainy day funds to only get hit with a $2k cost 3 years later from hitting a deer. They will never buy term life until it's too late to get it, and now their spouse is underwater since they were a dual earning family with a mortgage. Health is a totally different shitshow that I don't expect people to be able to even remotely reasonably be able to manage. It'll help, but education isn't as big as the need for better audit and better regulation (ugh).
