>The token is not needed for decentralizing oracles (I think this argument is disingenuous, prima facie)
I don't know much about crypto, but if I know anything about large enterprises it's that they will do anything and everything to not develop their solutions in-house, since time is money and it's better to have a solution instantly by purchasing one rather than developing your own (which costs a lot anyway since you have to pay your employees' salaries and buy them equipment). For example, for Java shit a lot of enterprises use Spring even though you can write everything Spring can do in vanilla Java. The reason you see a lot of frameworks being shat out for JS is because enterprises use it to script their sites, and it's faster to use a framework to put your site together even though it's unnecessary. My primitive understanding of how Ethereum and Chainlink work lead me to the conclusion that Chainlink isn't necessary, but it's necessary for enterprises to save money. When Vitalik said LINK isn't necessary, he thought of LINK like how /g/ thinks of JS frameworks

I've dated women that loved me and were obsessed with me before. But they were slightly ugly so I ditched them. So I just need to find a hotter version of that and I'm good
