Hey /biz/, I am not completely sure if this is accepted content here. If not I will delete this thread immediately

Currently I am in law school, started last year. A good friend of mine is an artist who has made quite the career and become somewhat big in the EDM-industry. I met him this weekend and we started talking about our lives, and we ended up discussing about how much fun it would be working together. He talked about how his management from time to time hire interns, and that he could put in a good word for me if I was interested.

I seemed positive to the idea, which immediately seemed like a rare opportunity. He talked to his manager, and the arrangements have been made so that I am to meet him when he returns from NYC in May. It seemed like there is an opportunity for me to work there after summer.

My question is: does this sound like a good idea? The management (an "international music management and booking agency") is quite big and represents many big artists who have been in the game for many years now, as well several new up and comers. I am also genuinely interested in the field. Depending on how long an eventual stay with the management would last (I know nothing about the details, and I haven't signed up for anything until I meet with him in about a month), it sounds like it would interrupt my studies, and the music business seems a bit unstable and "brain-less". Nonetheless, I doubt I will get a chance like this again.

tl;dr is the music management business worth a shot?
