CoL in Western and Central Europe is on par with the US. Those few countries that earn more than the poorest state in the US have a much higher CoL to go with them.
Otherwise where CoL is low, wages are low.
Your health insurance isn't free. They've taxed you up the ass and convinced you to be smug about it.
32 paid days holiday sounds great, but making it mandatory may be one of the things that has made Europe so stagnant in terms of growth. In turn, that keeps wages lower.
It especially doesn't help their case for all these special protections when so much European talent, much like Mexicans, move to the US for work.
Food is debatable. America has more junk food in bigger quantities. At the same time, I live around a bunch of farms and dirt cheap, high quality organic produce, meats, and dairy.
Like you boast about being taxed at absurd rates, you boast about that same institution banning you from having weapons.
I don't get why Europeans are so arrogant and boastful about being treated like sheep.
