My boomer dad recently crunched some numbers and decided that he won't have enough money to live when he retires and went into a delusional panic and got himself scammed out of a pretty significant batch of money by an online crypto investment banker.

He's still in denial of having actually lost the money and started to make up some mentally insane theories about how that scam was actually just a trick by the police to see how much money is on his account because he's secretly the most important man in the world even though he's literally dirt poor.

Naturally, the first thing he does is try making another account on this obscure fucking online crypto wallet so he can get himself scammed again in a different way.
I have to fucking stop him so he doesn't gamble away the last remnants of money he still has because I am NOT feeding this overgrown dog when I haven't even properly started my own life yet.
The best thing he can do is work his job and save his money so I can do what he put me on this world for and pay off his mountain of debt, but I doubt he'll be that sensible.

Can I do anything about this? Can I get him arrested somehow so he can take a mandatory vacation at a psychologist?
Before anyone says anything, no, I'm not gonna kill him. I'm not ready to decide between his rotten house or a lifetime of debt yet.
If he hits a by some miracle that'd be nice but there's no way he can handle that shit without it going to his head.

a new roof is like what, $25k? and replacing all the windows is $15k? repainting all the siding and replacing rotten sections is maybe another $10k? replacing drywall with water stains is another $5k, and repainting the whole interior is $5k?

it seems to me like the worst case scenario is ~$60k to totally gut a water-damaged house, my mind struggles to comprehend how you managed to spend over $100k. Did you get multiple quotes for everything or did you pay whatever price the first guy asked for?

You've got a population that doesn't know what the problems are, because it's too hard for them to figure that out. But they're damn willing to invest emotionally in a solution.
There are even the university midwit types who get their knowledge from Youtube pundits. They think they're superior for looking for some problems, but actually fall into the same conundrum. They seek out problems that validate their predetermined solution. Rather than, seeking out a problem and constructing a solution to fit.

I traded 0.05 eth for 42 unitrade tokens using goybase wallet and uniswap.
I did everything right, I went to coingecko clicked on their etherscan contract link, copied the contract and used that for the transaction. I even went as far as to verify the contract address on there actual page.

What the fuck the transaction went through but I havent received my coins yet in my coinbase wallet. DID I JUST GET SCAMMED or Im I being an impatient faggot?
