I have been holding and buying SOXL since 2019 and have yet to be disappointed. It got a bit gnarly in March but here we are at 650. Looking at the chart, SOXL drops 50% about every 2 years then goes on to a bigger all time high so there's definitely potential for swinging. You can look at the SOX semiconductor index it's based on to get an idea how it does in the longer term. The chart goes back over 30 years. Lots of huge ups and down. We're in a huge demand environment for semis right now and it could last a while. Nothing is forever though so expect a huge dip some day. I keep track of the 200 simple moving average on SOXX and plan on getting out of SOXL when that is breached then get back in when it turns back up. We'll see how that goes.
