I've been learning options from the very beginning of not even knowing what options were at all just a few or so weeks ago. I learned *of* them right here. I learned a bit of the most bare basics of what they are right here. I asked questions, and got a few answers, but hit a wall of getting answers and it turns out there are inherent reasons for that...the only way to learn it is to do a lot of reading, watching vids, and PAPER TRADING. There is just no substitute for putting in the time/effort yourself and there's only so much viable "discussion" it allows for.

Yesterday I made an imaginary $220 in Robinhood and around noon today made imaginary $82 in thinkorswim. Robinhood is a lot easier to play with but I'm going to put in the time/effort to learn thinkorswim (about to watch a bunch of vids) because it's a lot more robust and less lagging from real time which I want for when I start doing live trades.

I read Investopedia. The last game I ever played was Tux Racer back in 2001 and haven't had "TV" since 1993. Writing your own book is an excellent idea, even if you are fortunate enough to sell 5 copies to people you know. I am working on 2 books right now, just little bits at a time when I am taking breaks from studying the Holy Bible and economics/stocks.

Yes, by what must be a miracle in today's world, he started a he and has remained so thus far. Yes, I did all of his picks except for one, which he sold on the first opportunity. In this program he got to start with 3 stocks picked from a list of about 120 S&P ones. I picked 2 and he insisted on Verizon, which was $56 at the time. There are periodic (roughly once per year) instances of sell one and pick a replacement, and since that first time I have done all of the picking. I tried to get him to get Tractor Supply Co instead of Verizon. This was back Feb of 2021. Thankfully the first sell/buy chance came in Nov 2021 and the stock I picked to replace VZ has since gained 21% (over $1000 from total shares).
