My only gripe with this is what the supposed grand scret plan is, and more importantly why is secrecy necessary for it. If it were something like an NFT divi, knowing about it beforehand wouldn't help hedgefunds. They can't stop it because "There is no naked short position in gamestop" so no judge will be able to rule a case of manipulation claiming Ryan is purposefully forcing the closing of shorts that according to all official sources don't exist. Hell the news that a divi was coming might cause enough buying to tip us over before they even distribute it. Business turnaround plans and such can only help the company if they're made public, and would destroy the narrative of failing brick and morter store. If there was a super secret plan it would have to be something that both wouldn't benefit the company to have public and also would somehow be stoppable if it were made public early. If it fits neither of those criteria then a positive news dump or at worst a big morale boost is definatly worth disclosing to his shareholders.

So why did everyone think there was going to be a superbowl commercial again? I just sorta assumed it was some variety of Cohen daVinci code again but never bothered to ask.
