Unless you're doing quants, I would say little to none at all. In my experience, it's mostly just been a combination of critical thinking ("If there's a hurricane coming, I might as well short these REITs in the area the hurricane is hitting") and market timing.

I do a lot of stock sims/did a lot of stock sims in high school (freshman econ student in college now) and usually I use little to no math at all when making my investment decisions and I make a semi-decent return.
