Yeah that's the basic idea behind investing and becoming financially independent (ie. if you quit your job tomorrow would your passive income be able to maintain your lifestyle etc) but if we were just talking stock outlooks for the rest of the year and next year, and you had to take a gamble what would you say?

I understand investing is long term and holding good companies long term can be great AND that if you hold long term you can eventually pull out with a profit rather than crystalizing losses etc but this is my high risk short term money.

I honestly just wish I did the same investment the previous 12 months and got a good 2 years out of it all rather than just the last year.
