Old boomers with pensions are the easier victims though because their generation is use to receiving phone calls for important shit, so they think its legit. You got two different scammers in reality for poo-in-loos, boomer phone calls and then email phising

For millennials and zoomers its more about malicious links and fake emails, like you said they pretend to be a business or company and steal your details if you fall for it, and do a drive by of your money to steal by either opening bank accounts in your name taking loans, taking shit from you in general, or open credit cards and maxing them out,

They also try to bait you with your greed like "a bank account error in your favorite of 5203.22 please click to fill out form" or some horseshit like "a refund of 500" or something. The texts alerts are easy to spot because no professional organization does that, the only thing with texts they try to fake themselves as you bank for transfers or to confirm a transfer for you to tap the link and get viruses on your phone or a keylogger for your details. Same thing for crypto, they send you a link that looks like your info, but a few letters or numbers are off hoping you just glance over and click it to steal your crypto wallet

shit is wild, i bet at least 70% of zoomers got malware on their devices and dont even know it, as soon as normies get into crypto they lose it all lol

last time i accidentally clicked a malicious link i went deep six nuked my computer, sold it off, and bought a new one. I had all my crypto on that one. I was lucky.

A big thing they fish for nowadays with viruses is too see if you got crypto apps or wallets, and steal those.

im autistic about my internet anonymity for potential dox and losing my shit, i learned the hard way as a teenager with a massive cs go inventory and got phised into losing my steam account and all of my cs go skins work about 900usd from clicking a link.
