Do the DEW

Dividends
Every
Week

This and a mix of managed growth mutual funds (or you could do some etfs).

Passive income is my end goal, not overall growth (although I like to see dividend growth and share price increases = company is profitable). I use finviz and internet research to try and find great companies that are undervalued or fairly valued and I continue to invest every two weeks (every paycheck basically).

divfren here, dividends are your fren

pic is my current divvy portfolio (i also have growth stocks in mutual funds). this portfolio is approximately $160K and provides me with about $5K in passive income every year and growing every year due to dividend increases alone.

Black are the companies I own. Red is my oldish watchlist. Always looking for the next undervalued dividend stock

So frens, I just ran the numbers and here is why I invested the DEW: Dividends Every Week method. Its probably not the most efficient but it is a psychological aid for when I quit my day job and work part time:

2018 Passive Income: $20,783.77. However $13,152.22 of that came in December of 2018 (mostly via mutual funds capital gain and dividend payouts) and $7631.55 from the other 11 months combined.

This year I expect it to be more balanced as I've been focusing my investments into my DEW portfolio (pic related - black = own, red = watchlist). It's going to take a few (5ish) years to reach a more balanced payout schedule but saving+investing+reinvesting dividends+ dividend increases = increasing continued passive income payouts.
