"what happened" fucking Mcdonnel Douglas happened. Boeing bought them and it was the worst mistake they ever made. They cleaned out the management and MD execs took over. They threw out Boeing's "it ain't ready til its ready" manufacturing process and imposed fast turnaround deadlines. Boeing had a STERLING reputation for quality control and testing and Mcdonnel Douglas fucking ruined it (remember these are the assholes responsible for the disastrous DC-10)
Now Airbus is eating their lunch and Mcdonnel Douglas is entirely to blame. The whole "diversity hiring" is fucking lunacy. Bunch of children.
