from what ive seen them doing in the music industry, the reason they look so hopeless rn is because theyve been buying so much shit.

they look bad in the immediate term because they are taking all free cash and buying positions that do not pay off immediately. they are planning for the long con, and doing so very quietly. entertainment is a VERY cutthroat environment, and they try to keep a low profile about the literal monopoly they are trying to establish

i aint tryin to shill too hard (i just think its interesting desu), but i think youd be absolutely shocked to see what exactly it is that disney owns by proxy. let alone the scope of it
